Dr. Coreen Levy is a Doctor of Chiropractic Sports Medicine, with an emphasis on soft tissue injuries and sideline emergency management. Before attending chiropractic school, Dr. Levy worked for over a decade as a senior research scientist and educator in behavioral neuroscience, studying neuropsychiatric diseases as well as drug and alcohol dependence and withdrawal in the Molecular and Integrative Neuroscience Department (M.I.N.D.) at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California.
Motivated with a desire to empower and heal others, and after a personal experience that demonstrated the limits and failures of the established allopathic medical system, Dr. Levy courageously left her prestigious career in research, and enrolled at the Southern California University of Health Sciences Doctorate of Chiropractic program. Besides obtaining the highly coveted position as a chiropractic intern at the USC Engemann Health Center, she also graduated on the Dean’s List of Academic Excellence, and received the highest honor, The President’s Leadership Award. Dr. Levy has gone above and beyond her chiropractic prospectus, by attending numerous educational seminars, allowing her to further her education in sports medicine, functional medicine, and nutrition.
Dr. Levy currently has a private practice in Downtown Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, where she sees a widevariety of patients, including collegiate and professional athletes, musicians, actors, and weekend warriors, though she spends the majority of her time as the Attending Chiropractic Clinician at the USC Engemann Health Center. She is also a full time faculty clinician at the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Doctor Levy is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner, and is currently finishing the highest level of sports medicine for her field, the Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. In her free time, Dr. Levy is not only the official doctor for the USC Men’s and Women’s Rugby Team, but also acts as the Attending Clinician for the USC Dental School’s Ergonomic Club, in addition to being part of the U.S. Olympic Fencing Team’s Research Committee. She can also be found working on professional surfers at numerous World Surf League (WSL) events, or with the emergency medical team at the Dew Tour on NBC Extreme Sports.
